
Brady is Ms. Jones Outstanding Oiler of Citizenship. Ms. Jones states he is such an excellent classmate and friend to others. Brady always encourages others, helps his friends when he can, and is an excellent example for others. I am so proud to have him in my class. Way to go, Brady!!! Keep up the great work.


Mason is Mrs. Booten and Mrs. McBride’s Outstanding Oiler of Citizenship. They say that Mason always takes pride in our school and keeps their classroom looking nice. He picks up trash outside of the school when they take a walk and Mason always makes sure his table area is clean. Mason is a great role model for the other students and always does the right thing at Eastwood School! Congrats MASON!


Mrs. Howell says it was no doubt that Michael was going to be their Outstanding Oiler of Citizenship! He is always doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching. He also helps his classmates do the right thing by reminding them of our school and classroom rules. He follows directions the first time asked, is the first volunteer to help clean up our classroom, and is an excellent errand runner. Mrs. Howell is so proud of him! Michael is a great member of their class family. :)


Noah was chosen for Ms. Baker's Outstanding Oiler of Citizenship because he is always a very kind student, both to his classmates and other teachers. Noah is always listening, honest, and helpful to everyone around him. He is always respectful to other students and staff, as well as respectful to our school and items in our classroom. He is always asking to help out in their room and help other friends whenever they need it. Noah shows great citizenship at our school, and Ms. Baker loves having him in their class!


Hello Eastwood families! To celebrate the holiday season Eastwood is planning some festivities for the month of December. Students are welcome to participate in any or all of the events on the calendar shared above. We hope you enjoy!

Ms. Lakho says Brantley is the perfect example of an Outstanding Oiler for Citizenship. He is the first person to offer help to his peers and staff. He does his best to keep his area clean and always offers to clean the rest of the classroom. Ms. Lakho says Brantley is a pleasure to have in class :)


Tucker is Mrs. Staten’s Outstanding Oiler of Citizenship. Mrs. Staten says Tucker provides an excellent example for all to follow by the way he acts towards his friends. He is always first to offer to help with work, clean up messes, and carry the big bean bags. Thanks, Tucker, for being such a good example of citizenship.

Declan reads every night including his own books and the decodable books we've been doing in class and SIPPS. He also practices his red words nightly and has mastered all 13 that we have learned this year. Declan always does his best in class and at home. He is willing to step up and help the others in his class succeed. I am honored to have Declan in my class.


Aliah is Ms. Jarden's Outstanding Oiler for responsibility. Aliah is a very responsible student. She makes sure to complete all of her work, especially in her reading groups. She asks questions, uses her manners, and is always going above what is expected of her. Keep it up Aliah!

- I believe Kaelyn should be our outstanding oiler because she is always someone who works hard! She is so smart and such a good friend to others. I always see her doing the right thing.
- Kaelyn always makes sure she keeps her stuff clean and tidy and picks up after herself.

Mr. Dorsey says his class said it best, Kaelyn absolutely deserves this recognition. Congrats Kaelyn! You are such a responsible 4th grader and Mr. Dorsey is so proud to be your teacher.


Tessa is Mrs. Campbell’s Outstanding Oiler for responsibility. Her classmates recognized that Tessa is always ready for her day. She has her materials ready to go, and is whole body listening for instructions. Tessa also shows responsibility in her actions. In the hallway, you will catch Tessa following expectations with still body and voice off. Tessa is also responsible with her words. She uses respectful words towards others, and shows kindness to others. Mrs. Campbell says she is so proud of all of Tessa's accomplishments this year, and is so lucky she gets to be her teacher. Tessa is such an amazing citizen of Eastwood, and Mrs. Campbell knows she will continue to do great things.
